It is light, non-greasy and provides excellent protection from the sun.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Besides sunscreen what should be in our \u201coutdoor survival kit\u201d this spring and summer?<br \/>\n<em> An antioxidant serum used on the face, neck, and chest every morning before applying sunscreen is a must. Antioxidants help repair and prevent sun damage. If I am active I will add <a title=\"EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46\" href=\"http:\/\/www.skinfo.com\/eltamd-uv-clear-spf-46-products-841.php?page_id=137\">EltaMD 46 Clear<\/a> for reapplication.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Besides sunscreen what should be in our \u201coutdoor survival kit\u201d this spring and summer?<br \/>\n<em><a title=\"Sun protective clothing\" href=\"http:\/\/www.skinfo.com\/sun-protective-clothing-pages-417.php\">Sun protective clothing<\/a> and hats. I have many different tops that also go in the water for swimming as well as sun protective pants for lounging. I love the water so when in the pool I have on the sun protective shirt with a big hat. Understanding sun protection is actually complicated, but the long wavelengths of light that are called UVA are not as safe as we used to think. Now we know they can cause melanoma as well as wrinkles, sagging and brown spots. Most people don\u2019t know that their sunscreens don\u2019t protect them from UVA!I am passionate about this&#8230;even the sunscreens that are labeled UVA\/UVB only protect you from a small portion of the UVA; only zinc oxide protects you from most of the spectrum.
