These fillers are injected into the skin to smooth away facial wrinkles and plump areas of volume loss producing a youthful result. Most of you know these fillers best by the names Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm. Previously, most patients required topical and sometimes local anesthetic to make the treatment more comfortable. The combination of lidocaine mixed with the hyaluronic acid is very beneficial because it makes the injection of the filler significantly more comfortable, with less &#8220;numbing&#8221; time required. These fillers now are available in this new formulation. Currently, hyaluronic fillers are the number one fillers used in the marketplace worldwide due to their safety, longevity and natural result.
