Thermage<\/a>\u00ae<\/h3>\n

Tissue Tightening is continuing to expand by demand\u2014now focusing on the body! The Thermage<\/a>\u00ae procedure just received its indication for tightening on the hands and abdomen (Hands by Thermage<\/a>™ and Tummy by Thermage<\/a>™). In addition combination therapy is still trending to be the most effective 3-dimensional result – combining Thermage<\/a>\u00ae with Fillers<\/a> (Restylane, Juvederm<\/a>, Radiesse, Sculptra<\/a>) will yield more dramatic results.<\/p>\n

We have also treated patients with sun damage<\/a>, surgical or traumatic scars<\/a>, wrinkles<\/a> and textural changes, and superficial wrinkles all with exciting results. \u00a0The Fraxel\u00ae SR1500 Laser Treatments<\/a> results continue to impress us. Patients who have failed other laser and cosmetic treatments for melasma <\/a>and acne scarring<\/a> have had outstanding results with a series of Fraxel\u00ae SR1500 Laser Treatments<\/a>. Combination Therapy<\/h3>\n

Dermatologists agree that combination therapy yields the best results and highest patient satisfaction. Although individual treatments are enough for some people, combining different laser and cosmetic treatments together may give more dramatic results. Many patients benefit from BOTOX<\/a>\u00ae Cosmetic and Restylane<\/a>™ together to address wrinkles <\/a>of the brow and forehead<\/a>. Eyes by Thermage<\/a>™ with Restylane<\/a>™ to the tear trough is a option that greatly improves this area addressing both the laxity and texture of the eyelids <\/a>and the hollowness and dark circles underneath<\/a>. Fraxel<\/a>\u00ae SR1500 Laser Treatments or Aurora FotoFacial<\/a>™ RF treatments in addition to tissue tightening procedures<\/a> (like Thermage\u00ae, Titan™ or ReFirme ST™<\/a>) will improve both the irregular pigmentation<\/a> and surface texture in addition to skin laxity such as jowls <\/a>and heavy brows. Pearl<\/h3>\n

In May 2007, we added the Pearl to our practice. This treatment device improves facial sun damage<\/a> and aging changes (such as brown spots<\/a>, mild wrinkles<\/a>, etc) by gently removing the top layer of skin, much like our previous erbium laser peels. The Pearl treatments, however, require no posttreatment topical bandages and result in faster healing time. With only 3-7 days of redness and flaking, patients feel comfortable going about their activities with makeup by the third day post treatment. Still the only limiting factor for this device is that it cannot be used on very dark skin types. We will continue to use our Fraxel\u00ae SR1500<\/a> for those patients with darker skin to produce similar results to the Pearl. So as not to be too confusing, however, the Fraxel\u00ae SR1500<\/a> is still our best bet for scarring, abnormal pigment<\/a> like melasma<\/a>, and deeper problems in the skin.<\/p>\n

Matrix IR<\/a>™<\/h3>\n

Welcome the newest addition in our arsenal to treat wrinkles<\/a>! The Matrix IR<\/a>™ uses elos technology, combining fractional optical energy with radiofrequency. Because the optical energy is delivered fractionated, it introduces more focused energy into demarcated zones called thermal bands, leaving reservoirs of intact tissue around the thermal bands to assist in renewal.
