These procedures work by removing dead skin cells and stimulating new cell growth. They are also fantastic for long-term skin care maintenance following more aggressive cosmetic laser treatments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>At Advanced Dermatology, we offer four <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advdermatology.com\/cosmetic-procedures\/microdermabrasion-chemical-peels\/chemical-peels\/\">chemical peels<\/a> to lighten your skin, reduce pore size and improve acne.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beta Peel: This 30% salicylic acid peel removes dead skin cells, revealing a brightened skin tone and smoother texture. The Beta Peel will clean and tighten pores, balance oil-secretion and reduce discoloration. This peel is great for oily, acne-prone skin, or unevenly pigmented skin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gel Peel GL: This peel combines 20% glycolic and 10% lactic acids to exfoliate the skin without causing excessive irritation and dryness. This cell renewal process stimulates collagen synthesis and improves elastin \ufb01bers in the skin. The Gel Peel GL is best used to revitalize photo-damaged skin and help reduce the appearance of \ufb01ne lines and wrinkles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gel Peel SM: This peel combines 20% salicylic and 10% mandelic acids to exfoliate the skin while decongesting pores. Although mandelic acid is one of the strongest alpha hydroxy acids, it does not cause in\ufb02ammation and irritation that can sometimes occur with alpha hydroxyl acid. This light chemical peel will help refresh sensitive and problematic skin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jessner Peel: This peel combines salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol acid to achieve smoother and brighter skin. The Jessner Peel is often recommend for sun-damaged and hyperpigmentation. This peel is more aggressive than the others, although still gentle, but is usually accompanied by a few days of peeling., for those wanting to attack the problem head on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Downtime, flaking, peeling and redness are minimal with our peels at Advanced Dermatology, except for the Jessner peel.<\/strong> Slight redness, skin sensitivity and skin tightness usually persist no longer than a day. After a series of peels you can expect improvement in the appearance of superficial lines and pigment while making your skin look softer, smoother and more radiant. Three treatments are recommended 2 to 3 weeks apart and then maintenance treatments are recommended every 1 to 3 months for optimal long-term results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Microdermabrasion is a way of gently removing the stratum corneum, which is the dead outer protective layer of the skin.<\/strong> Advanced Dermatology offers two enhanced forms of microdermabrasion, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advdermatology.com\/cosmetic-procedures\/microdermabrasion-chemical-peels\/diamondglow-dermalinfusion-formerly-known-as-silkpeel\/\">SilkPeel<\/a><sup>TM<\/sup> Dermalinfusion System and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advdermatology.com\/cosmetic-procedures\/microdermabrasion-chemical-peels\/\">Dermasweep<\/a><sup>TM<\/sup>, which use water in conjunction with a diamond tip to gently exfoliate the skin. Hydrodermabrasion simultaneously infuses products that can hydrate, lighten, tighten pores and reduce acne. These enhancements offer better results and leave the skin hydrated, not dry or peeling as with traditional microdermabrasion. These procedures are adjustable from extremely light to very aggressive so we can tailor the treatment to each patient and his or her goals.
