Generalized pustular psoriasis can be particularly severe and can cause fever, chills, and other systemic symptoms. Symptoms of pustular psoriasis include red, inflamed skin covered in pus-filled blisters. The affected areas may be itchy, painful, and tender to the touch. In severe cases, the blisters can break open and cause bleeding and oozing.<\/p>\n<p>The exact cause of pustular psoriasis is unknown, but it is believed to be an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy skin cells.
