Cosmetic treatments can be a suitable solution for those with a weak chin. Enhancing the chin also results in a better jawline contour from the front and side angles. Sometimes patients who have a smaller chin over-activate a muscle called mentalis. Neuromodulators, such as BOTOX\u00ae<\/a> or Dysport\u00ae<\/a>, can be injected into the mentalis, relaxing this muscle, and thus the chin drops slightly; leading to a more rounded appearance of the chin.<\/p>\n

In addition, patients who over-activate this muscle have a p\u2019eau d\u2019orange or pebbly appearance of the skin overlying the chin. When we inject neuromodulators into mentalis, this pebbly appearance resolves, and the skin has a smooth appearance. Another option is to use filler to enhance a weak chin.
